SMAW/ARC STRUCTURAL WELDING
This 10-week program is designed to build solid foundational and intermediate skills in structural welding using Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Tailored for individuals aiming to work in infrastructure, industrial fabrication, or construction, this course focuses on real-world applications such as welding beams, columns, and frames. With an emphasis on industry standards, students will gain confidence in welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and safety practices required on structural job sites.

Course Outcomes :
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Safely operate SMAW equipment and follow structural welding safety standards.

Set up and operate MIG welding equipment safely.

Perform fillet and groove welds in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).

Weld on different materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Read and interpret welding symbols and structural blueprints.

Prepare for industry-recognized certifications such as AWS D1.1 or equivalent.
