GMAW/MIG STRUCTURAL WELDING

This comprehensive 10-week program is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge required for structural welding using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG) techniques. The course combines theoretical instruction with extensive hands-on practice, focusing on real-world applications such as welding beams, columns, and frames. Emphasis is placed on safety, equipment handling, and adherence to industry standards, preparing participants for entry-level positions in various sectors.​

Participants will work with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

Course Outcomes :​

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Safely operate GMAW/MIG equipment and adhere to industry safety standards.

  • Perform high-quality fillet and groove welds in all positions on various metals.

  • Interpret welding symbols and blueprints for structural applications.

  • Prepare for and undertake certification tests in accordance with AWS D1.1 standards.
