STANDARD OR REGULAR GMAW/MIG

This intensive 3-week program is designed to provide participants with foundational skills in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), commonly known as MIG welding. The course combines theoretical instruction with hands-on practice, focusing on safety protocols, equipment setup, and welding techniques. Participants will learn to perform fillet and groove welds in various positions, preparing them for entry-level positions in welding and fabrication industries.​

Materials Used:


Participants will work with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

Course Outcomes :

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Safely operate GMAW/MIG equipment and adhere to industry safety standards.

  • Perform high-quality fillet and groove welds in various positions on mild steel.

  • Interpret basic welding symbols and blueprints.

  • Identify and rectify common welding defects.
